2017-bmw-i8-review

With an exceptional performance for a hybrid, a futuristic design, and exceptional fuel economy for a sports car, the new 2017 BMW i8 redefines what a hybrid can be. Its release date, according to multiple sources privy of i8 developments, should be expected sometime during the latter half of 2017.

For starters, the 2017 BMW i8 is a sporty plug-in hybrid with the sleek shape of a supercar. BMW for sure knows a thing or two about building cars that combine good looks with performance. Stunning eco-friendly technology has been infused with the plug-in hybrid 2017 BMW i8. It boasts of a total range of about 330 miles on combined gasoline and electric power and also achieves 15 miles of electric-only range.

According to BMW, the exotic requires a time of just 4.5 seconds should get you past 60 mph. And with its unique scissor-lift doors, and low, sleek body styling, the new model certainly guarantees great entrances and departures wherever you go. Interior wise though, the i8 offers tiny backseats that could be best suited for additional cargo space, as the trunk volume also suffers from lack of adequate space.

The disappointment in space is however compensated by the sheer number of upscale technologies and top-notch materials used in its cabin. The overall interior vibe is ultra-modern with treated leather being the most used theme. The high-tech gadgets and dynamic contours further highlight its premium ambiance.

There is no shortage of rivals here, with the 2017 Tesla Model S probably being the closest with green credentials. Other performance cars in the segment with the same credentials include the 2017 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid plug-in hybrid, and the sizzling, two-door 2017 BMW i8 that is also poised to make headlines with its admirable headlines.
