For 2017, the new Ford Edge is expected by many analysts to come with quality cabin materials, plenty of technology features, sophisticated ride quality, efficient base engine, and sophisticated ride quality. Its release date details are still shrouded in obliqueness.
The Edge made its first debut back in 2007 and was among the first generation of mid-size crossover Sports Utility Vehicle. The vehicle undeniably comes is a mixture of sedan handling, raised height of an SUV, and a space similar to that of a wagon. The Edge provides solid sales volume for Ford and has undergone quite a significant number of refinements meant to keep it fresh in its segment.
The third generation Edge, according to several industry pundits, will come with a sophisticated front and aft suspension designs, a stiffer body structure, and plenty of safety features which come standard. And as a result of the improvements, the vehicle drives pleasantly. Rumor has it that a thoroughly revised 2L 4-cyl engine will be coming as the standard powertrain.
Its redesign for 2017 will mark an important chapter in its existence, as Ford has already forecasted impressive sales volumes. However, other options worth taking a look at include Volkswagen Touareg, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Nissan Murano and Kia Sorento. In overall, though, the new Ford Edge should prove an ideal choice for anyone looking for latest technology, driving refinement, and a mix of interior space.
