As much as Infiniti has tried to invigorate their latest offering – 2017 Infiniti QX70, the vehicle is still subpar relative to other vehicles in its segment. As such, we don’t recommend the vehicle to anyone unless you don’t mind its many downsides. Other crossovers in the segment offer much better features and technologies within the same price bracket, so look around before you finally commit. Its date of release should be expected during the 1st Q of 2017, according to speculations from reliable sources.
The QX70 despite its obvious setbacks is still a nice and stylish vehicle. However, with every passing year, the segment receives newer and more sophisticated vehicles that offer cut-throat competition to existing ones. We like how the QX70 blends sports car features with those of a Sports Utility Vehicle resulting in a nimble yet powerful vehicle.
With its excellent interior finish, sporty driving character, and premium materials, we don’t expect the vehicle to go unnoticed. Although its infotainment system isn’t the latest, we still laud Infiniti efforts in making it one of the easiest to use in the market.
Some of the detriments we found on the 2017 Infiniti QX70 includes a limited cargo and backseat space, a firm ride, restrictive optional packages, a lack of engine choice, a limiting sport-tuned suspension, and a bantamweight towing capacity.
Alternatives to consider include the BMW X3 2017, Acura MDX for 2017, 2016 Porsche Macan, and the 2017 Mercedes GLE-Coupe. In overall, if style, power, fresh appeal, and technology are atop your list of priorities, you are better off with its alternatives.
