The new 2017 Kia Forte comes with a sharp design and offers lots of values. Its appeal is further broadened by its dizzying features such as a lengthy warranty coverage, a spacious interior for both coupe and sedan, easy-to-use controls, lots of standard features, and strong engines on both the Forte SX and EX trims. The Kia Forte release date should be expected sometime in the first half of 2017, at least according to various industry and media reports.
The Forte has long been the preferred choice for many people looking for peppy acceleration, a comfortable cabin, quality materials, and contemporary looks, all bundled in one attractive package that doesn’t require you to break the bank or dip into your children education funds. Its versatility is also something worth giving it credit for as it is offered in three iterations: sedan, coupe and hatchback.
The 2017 model, albeit featuring subtle tweaks almost everywhere, returns almost unchanged. One notable area that has received better-than-average change is its interior. We are particularly impressed by the level of refinement and upscale technologies offered by Kia. Some of the technologies include keyless ignition and entry, xenon headlights, USB connectivity, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and selectable steering assist. Others are heated rear seats, and ventilated driver seats.
Under the hood, power is generated by three different engines, two of which offer respectable acceleration and power. For those who place fuel economy first place instead of excitement, disappointment lurks as none of the engines offer distinction in fuel efficiency. On the upside, though, the 1.6L turbocharged engine offered for the Forte SX versions offers exceptional power output, whereas, the 2.0L four-cylinder undeniably makes the Forte one of the quickest vehicles in its segment.
Foibles such as an unrefined ride quality, middling frontal-impact safety scores, and trailing fuel economy ratings, exist, lest you think the Forte lacks any disappointments. They are however overshadowed by its hard-to-come-by features. Some of the alternatives to consider include Hyundai Elantra 2017, 2017 Honda Civic, 2017 Mazda 3, and Volkswagen Golf or 2017 VW Jetta.

The 2017 Kia Forte coupe (Koup) is offered in EX and SX trim models, the Forte sedan in LX and EX trims, and the Forte 5 (hatchback) in EX, LX, and SX trim models. Slight changes might occur on its release date, however.
