The Kia Sorento vehicle was launched in 2002 for the first time and went on sale in the US in the same year. The first generation of Sorento vehicles was a traditional body on frame SUV which also had some off-road properties and an all-wheel drive system. The second-gen Sorento was introduced in 2009 when the car was completely changed and redesigned. It had a car-based platform and was more of a crossover vehicle than anything else. Some changes were made for the 2010 model, with an improved powertrain and a makeover in 2013.
The 2013 was initially viewed as a third-gen Sorento vehicle but this verdict was later overthrown and changed to it only receiving a minor facelift. So it is going to be up to the 2017 model to introduce us to the next generation of Sorento cars. Read all about it in this review and also see the pictures released from the first showcasing of the car.

Kia is actually calling their changes as evolutionary from the old style of the car but they are every bit as revolutionary than you may think. It retains the basic hood design from the previous one but adds with a new grille and some less abrasive angles. The headlights meet the grille and the chrome 3D inserts are borrowed from the K900.
Looking the vehicle from the side, you can determine how larger it has gotten. The greenhouse is the same but the D-pillars are much thicker now. The back overhangs is larger which also shows us that there is more cargo room at the back side. The wheel wells are more arched and look more classy like that.
