There have been over a year of speculations being rumored and it has finally been confirmed that the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicle going to be released. The initial showcasing is going to happen at the Detroit Auto Show where the new car is going to be exhibited to the general public for the first time.

This is going to be the 10th-generation of the E-Class and the revamping of the lineup started in 2013 with the S-Class. Later on we got the C-Class release that came in 2014 as the updated started with a sporty exterior and brand new feature. The E-Class is going to showcase the same kind of elements that have been seen in the previous sedans.

The newest E-Class is going to be restyled in the same manor the current S-Class was designed. The midsize vehicles are going to come with some unique features that are going to diversify it from other models in the lineup but Mercedes-Benz is planning on incorporating more of a cohesive appearance which the vehicle adopts this time. All in all, there are going to be less details that will differentiate the models from each other which only happened one time before and it was in the 80s.

Leaving styling aside, the technical side of the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class adopts a completely new platform which adds a new interior with a completely gorgeous look to it. There is going to be a new lineup of powertrains added this year and are going to include a turbocharged four-cylinder and a brand-new four-pot diesel. The best way to describe the exterior look of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is as a larger C-Class model or a smaller S-Class car. So if you ignore the proportions you will notice that all of these vehicles have a similar or perhaps the same front fascia to their design. The swooping roofline, the character line and the muscular beltline are all the same with these models. But there are many things that differ it from the other class vehicles as well.

Some of the details include the headlamps which include LED additions and are designed with e different cluster. The bumper is A-shaped and is something which is added to almost any model that comes out under the Mercedes-Benz name. But the greatest changes will come based on the trim level actually.

Viewing the vehicle from the back, we notice that the designers in Mercedes-Benz aimed for a more cohesive design of their E-Class vehicles. It also poses some similarities with the aforementioned sedan classes above but does offer us some distinguishing patterns here. The roofline of the E-Class is almost as identical to the C and S classes with the exception of the C-pillars which are thicker here.

The rear windscreen of 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is positioned in a sportier angle and also add some longer doors to the back. The added character like is identical to the design with the other vehicles but this one is more subtle than seen in the other ones. The newest E-Class also has some larger dimensions than the preceding vehicles before it, so the length is increased to 193.8 inches and the wheelbase amounts to a total of 115.7 inches.

The interior of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has a similar interior as the S-Class, which is good news as this is generally the best kind of an interior setup one could get inside a tightly packed competitive market. The cabin has the same organic type of a design of the dashboard which adds an enormous touchscreen in the middle of it. There are four air vents at the sides and a wide center stack which adopts a very beautiful design.

The instrument cluster is completely new though and the added elements make it a very useful vehicle now. On the base models you can get a two analogue dials and a seven-inch screen in between while higher trims get a 12.3-inch screen. The base trims also get an 8.4-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system while the in higher ones there is the 12.3-inch one used.

It can be used to detect horizontal and vertical swipes just like the screen of a smartphone or tablet and is used for the first time in this manner in a vehicle. Engine

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in the US market is only going to be released with one engine option. It will use a turbocharged, 2.0-liter four-banger with the capability of amounting a production level of 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque in the E300. It combines with a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission as standard and also is available with a all-wheel-drive 4MATIC system optionally.
