Three engine options are offered ranging from the 2.0L petrol powertrain rated at 137 horsepower to the 2.7L petrol mill good for 164 horsepower. The new model also provides interior serenity thanks to the extensive use of lightweight, anti-corrosion steel sheeting, noise insulating materials, and the extensive use of high tensile steel sheeting for the body.
Available competition is staged by vehicles such as 2017 Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, and the Nissan Navara. The Nissan NP300 Navara has been in other world markets for some time now, and for 2017, Nissan says the new vehicle is more spacious, better equipped and offers a performance akin to no other vehicle in its class. We are yet to confirm whether it will be available in the US.
It is rumored it will come fitted with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine rated at 188 hp and 332 lbs. ft. of torque. The GMC Canyon, on the other hand, is competitively priced and comes laden with some of the most sought-after features such as a maneuverable size, a comfortable ride quality, lots of high-tech features, and torque-rich and fuel-efficient diesel engine. The base engine is a 2.5L four-cylinder good for 200 horsepower and 191 pounds-ft. of torque.
2017 Toyota Hilux Trims and Body Styles
At the moment, Toyota hasn’t announced any trim models yet but has announced two body styles will be offered with the 2017 Toyota Hilux: Single cab and Double cab. Both cabs are offered in both 4×4 and 4×2 configurations. The 2017 Toyota Hilux Revo is bigger and better, has improved suspension, improved safety, new projector headlights, new bumpers, brand new engines, a comfortable interior, and offers an improved towing and payload capacities. Some of the standard features available on the 2017 Toyota Hilux include a six-way power driver seat, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, a rearview camera, daytime running lights, sixteen-inch alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery, projector-style headlights, auxiliary audio input, a six-speaker AM/FM audio system, front bucket seats, daytime LED running lights, and a 4.2” color display.

Under the hood of the new 2017 Toyota Hilux are four engine options: two naturally aspirated gasoline and two turbodiesel mills. Up first is the 174 hp- and 331 lbs. ft. of torque – generating 2.8L turbodiesel engine. The other version generates 160 hp and 295 lbs. ft. of torque.
The petrol engines compromise of the 2.7L inline-4 and the 4.0L V6 each generating 164 and 278 horsepower respectively.

2017 Toyota Hilux USA Release Date & Price
Rumors allege the vehicle will probably be available for sale in the first half of 2017, at least for the USA market and later elsewhere.
The 2017 Toyota Hilux price starts from an MSRP of $18,000. The Hilux Revo is of course more expensive but with all the new features and enhancements the extra money is worth it.
