The new 2017 Ford Everest redefines the SUV market as it is currently constituted in Asia Pacific and beyond. To wit, the new model will be available in Australia, China, Philippines, India, and Canada, New Zealand. Additionally, it will be offered in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. It is stunningly capable, advanced, and refined. It returns with the same go-anything, and do-anything gonzo its nameplate has for long been associated with. Its release date should be expected for the next spring of 2017.
Asked about he thought of their latest release, Dave Schoch – president, Ford Asia Pacific, had this to say, “The new 2017 Ford Everest is exceptionally prepared for everyday commute thanks to its perfect blend of versatility and capability as it is one of the most extreme off-roader.
Much of its capable stems from the fact that the new model seamlessly combines exceptional comfort, and tough capability that resonates well with drivers around the world and in particular those across Asia Pacific and markets across the ASEAN region.
With a sculptural and rugged design that mirrors its technology prowess and unabashed toughness, the new release from Ford blends smart style, features and strength to offer its consumers an off-road ready vehicle. Aside from the capable off-roading, the new model also offers a smooth, comfortable driving experience for on-road handling and it makes no concessions on comfort and refinement either.
Some of the hallmarks that have continued to be a part of the Everest legacy seem to be its versatility and durability factor. The 2017 Everest continues to build on the same gains its predecessors have had, only this time it is better and much more capable. Depending on the market, both RWD and FWD are available.
One of the toughest SUVs in its class, the new model was built from the ground up with the reliability to take up even the most of mundane road conditions. Its suspension allows it to soak and flatten bumps without disrupting the interior ambience of its occupants. It is still based on the body-on-frame design that its predecessors have boasted of. Whereas newer SUVs in Northern America are fast abandoning the body-on-frame for car-based platform, Ford seems to be having the last laugh with it given the successes it has had.
Throw in the torsional strength offered by the platform, best-in-class ground clearance, Terrain Management System, active transfer case with Torque on Demand, and water wading capability, and you’ve got yourself a truly capable SUV that is able to navigate even the most unhospitable terrains effortlessly.
Once available, the new 2017 Ford Everest will have to battle it out with well-rounded rivals like the 2017 Toyota Highlander, 2017 Dodge Dakota, and 2017 Land Cruiser, and 2017 Toyota Prado. But even with such an impressive list of rivals, the new Everest will sure have a walk in the park thanks to its impressive off-road credentials, dynamic handling, and top ride quality.
