2018 Audi Q5

The new 2018 Audi Q5 stands out among the rest of the compact luxury SUVs with its thrilling engines, handsome styling, and elegant cabin. It’s a special SUV in many ways depending on one’s previous experiences especially those who’ve been shopping in this class of compact SUVs. It’s small on dimensions but big on luxury and comfort. Additionally, its interior reeks of top-notch craftsmanship, has more standard features than most of its rivals, and its driving character is refined. Its release date is set for early 2018.

Well Made Affordable Vehicle?

For 2018, new features include standard nineteen-inch wheels for the 2.0T Premium Plus models, and an adaptive cruise control feature for the 3.0T Prestige model. Away from that, the Audi Q5 2018 is generally an updated vehicle that offers an immense wealth of features and technologies at a reasonable price. Unlike driving the humdrum compact SUVs available in the segment in their plenty, the Audi Q5 soldiers on with a well-crafted cabin, classic styling, and ample features for the money.

Getting Old?

Sure, the Audi Q5 has been around for quite some time and critics can be quick to add that it its getting up a bit up in age in terms of interior appointments and design. While some arguments might hold water, the Audi Q5 is still an amazing vehicle especially for people not looking for latest controls and technologies. Even so, the new vehicle comes with updated features such as a fourteen-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a navigation system, keyless push-button and adaptive cruise control. Again, for those who don’t find fiddling with the latest gizmos and gadgets their thing, it comes with a panoramic sunroof.

We still think the new Audi Q5 has plenty left in the tank despite having a strong rival front that includes the Aura RDX, Mercedes-Benz GMC-Class, Lexus NX 200t, Jaguar F-Pace, and the BMW X3.

What Is The Price Of The New Audi Q3 And When Is The Release Date?

As mentioned, the Audi Q5 release date should be expected sometime in early 2018, at least according to pundit reports. Audi has already offered its pricing structure, with the base model stripped off of all premium accessories expected to cost an MSRP starting from $40,900. Leasing is available.

2018 Audi Q5 Exterior Changed Only A Bit

The exterior hasn’t received substantial changes in comparison to other facets such as the interior. However, it is now more refined and features some of the latest features in lighting technology, for instance. It features xenon headlights, LED taillights and running lights, eighteen-inch wheels, automatic wipers, aluminum roof rails, a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, 19-inch wheels (2.0T Premium Plus), auto-dimming rearview mirror, aluminum door sills, power liftgate, and headlight washers.

2018 Audi Q5 Interior Updated?

When we come to its interior, the cabin design remains unchanged over the previous model. However, the cabin refinement has been reworked in order to conceal its age – or so we think. Accessories available, of course depending on the trim level, include the MMI interface, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, a CD player, satellite and HD radio, a leather upholstery, a 10-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, driver power lumbar, a sliding and reclining rear seat, keyless entry and ignition, a rearview auto-dimming mirror, adaptive cruise control, a fourteen-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, rear door sunshade, a heated and cooled cup-holder, and Audi connect online services.

Available Trims

Trim levels available include 2.0T Premium, 2.0T Premium Plus, 3.0T Prestige, 3.0T Premium Plus, 2.0T Hybrid Prestige, and the SQ5. The 2018 Audi Q5 SQ5 – the higher performance version – review is however covered elsewhere on this blog, as is the Audi Q5 Hybrid. We are still working on their information which we hope will be updated here before their release dates.

Engine Specs Are Yet To Be Confirmed?

Three engines are offered for the 2018 Audi Q5. Default systems include the eight-speed automatic transmission system, and the all-wheel drive system. The 2.0T Premium and Premium Plus models come equipped with a 220-horsepower – generating turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine. Rumors of a TDI engine are rife but buyers will have to wait a bit longer for a confirmation.

A supercharged 3.0L V6 is available for the Q5 3.0T models and is capable of generating 272 horsepower and 295 pounds-feet of torque. According to test drives conducted, the Q5 3.0T model accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 6.3 seconds.

The 2018 Audi Q5 Hybrid model, on the other hand, generates an output of 245 horsepower and 350 pounds-feet of torque thanks to the combination of the 2.0T engine and an electric motor.
