There is no flicker of doubt as pertains to the 2018 BMW 3 Series sporty driving character and refinement. It is, to say the least, exceptionally well-rounded and anyone looking for a compact luxury sport sedan should give it a benefit of doubt by booking a test drive. We highly recommend the BMW 3 Series. It is arguably one our favorites (quite apparently) in this class. Its release date should be expected sometime at the beginning of 2018.
The BMW 3 Series 2018 comes with several changes and upgrades that the German marque hopes will help burnish its appeal given the number of freshened rivals awash on the segment. However, one could argue that the 3 Series has over time lost its sportiness in several ways, maybe true maybe not, whichever the case though, the 3 Series continues to be the undisputed champ when it comes to the compact luxury sport segment.
Even with rivals nipping its heels on either side, the new 2018 BMW 3 Series changes will sure enough cement its position as the honcho of the segment. And even without them, there’re still a ton of reasons that would keep its head high.
Hype aside, the new vehicle comes with lots of new technologies and features for the money. On the performance front, it comes with a familiar 2.0L four-cylinder engine that’s rated at 180 horsepower and 200 pounds-feet of torque, which fires up the spirits of the base BMW 320i model. For the enthusiastic lot there’s is the turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder engine good for 320 horsepower and 330 pounds-feet of torque that fires up the performance-themed BMW 340i sedan model.
The 2018 BMW 3 Series interior updates are minor and only involve burnishing the already appealing features and technologies. Additional cupholders, and a new gloss black center console are some of the minor tweaks. Fundamentally, though, it is the same vehicle we fell in love with from way back in 2012.
Some of the rivals baying for its blood include the 2018 Audi A4, Cadillac ATS, Lexus IS, and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
