2018 Toyota Yaris Review

As you’d expect from subcompact crossovers, the new 2018 Toyota Yaris is well-built and economical. But for 2018, however, the new vehicle also adds plenty of other desirable features such as a user-friendly technology interface, a generous rear legroom, and a long list of standard equipment. The Toyota Yaris release date is expected sometime in the first half of 2018.

With a bit of European flare, the Japanese marque is once again panning to offer the Toyota Yaris only this time with a bit of redesigns and refreshments meant to up its stake in its class. But even so, several of its rivals are also experiencing some leaps and bounds in terms of redesigns.

The Yaris, originally designed to excel in compact spaces, has evolved over time to become a worthy competitor across segments. Remaining to the core of its design, however, is its priority to maneuverability and fuel economy. Plenty of technologies have also been offered including USB and Bluetooth connectivity, a 6.1” touchscreen interface, lots of driver aides, and HD and satellite radio.

The 2018 Toyota Yaris interior is updated and features a prodigious amount of leg- and headroom despite its meagre dimensions. Throw in a long warranty perk and you’ve got yourself an impressive deal very few rivals can compete against.

Alternatives exist, too. They include the 2018 Kia Rio, the Honda Fit, 2018 Hyundai Accent, and the 2018 Ford Fiesta RS. The 2018 Honda Fit changes are mild. This shouldn’t however be misconstrued to mean it isn’t a top contender in its class. Preliminary reports allege the Honda Fit color palette is set for some minor tweaks that will see an introduction of new ones. The Honda Fit release date should be expected sometime before the fall of next year.

News of the 2018 Hyundai Accent redesign have it that the vehicle’s interior and exterior are receiving a mild touch. To wit, the Hyundai Accent interior, promises various revitalization in terms of technologies offered and material quality. The performance is nevertheless expected to remain unchanged relative to the existing model.

Finally, the 2018 Ford Fiesta RS refresh brings an upgraded suspension system that is set to bring a hush cabin, and a more comfortable drive quality. Furthermore, clever engineering and modern designs, Ford says, will bring about a slight reduction in its curb weight therefore leading to better handling and fuel economy. The Ford Fiesta RS rumors allege its release date is bound for this spring as a 2018 year model, albeit no confirmation has been given so far.

2018 Toyota Yaris Hatchback Review of Trims

Three trims are offered for the 2018 Toyota Yaris: LE, L, and SE. with the four-door SE as an exception, the rest of the hatchbacks are offered with either two-or four doors.

For some time now, there have been speculations of a Toyota Yaris Hybrid. However, Toyota hasn’t offered any clues as to whether there’ll be one for 2018 yet, but some reports indicate there may have been spy phots of the expected prototype somewhere in North America. Some of the standard accessories available for the 2018 Toyota Yaris include a CD player, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, a height-adjustable driver seat, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, fifteen-inch steel wheels, a 6.1” touchscreen interface, chrome interior door handles. 2018 Toyota Yaris Engine Specs

Motivation for the vehicle is offered by a four-cylinder 1.5L engine good for 106 hp and 103 lbs. ft. of torque. Like before, pairing is done to two transmission systems: a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission system.

EPA estimates the fuel economy ratings for the automatic to be 30/37/32 mpg in the city/highway/combined, and 30/37/33 mpg with the manual models.

Various rumors in the segment allege the new model will most likely go for sale sometime in the first half of 2018.
