Rumor mills have been cranking up new spy photos of the new 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and this has inevitably got us thinking on what we should expect. See, the Pacifica enjoys a very high level of success during its comparatively long history that spans a couple of decades.
The Pacifica continues to rein-vent the minivan segment thanks to its boldly sculpted designs, impressive performance, beautifully crafted interior, tons of standard features, and boatloads of functionality. And with rumors of a new 2019 Chrysler Pacifica flying around, we think the stakes will be much higher and leave competitors in dust.
From every angle, its styling, styling, and proportions create an appearance not expected in this segment that has largely been associated with the rental fleet mentality. But the Pacifica, unlike the Sienna and the Odyssey, has managed to shake itself off of this perpetual mediocre mentality.
It comes across as a sophisticated vehicle thanks to its athletic proportions, capable stance, and low ground clearance. Judging from the existing model, we expect to see additional new features such as an upgraded infotainment system, better range for the hybrid model, and additional standard features.
The new model is also expected to combine mass efficiency, stiffness and solidity for the purposes of minimizing vibration and noise. Furthermore, there should be even more usage of aluminum components. Elements that contribute to the lightweight system include hollow front strut cods, aluminum engine brackets, aluminum rear upper shock mounts, absence of a rear stabilizer bar, an aluminum extruded steering gear cross member, front and rear cast aluminum knuckles, and a front tubular stabilizer bar.
The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica won’t however be the only vehicle in the segment, the Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Kia Sedona are also popular alternatives that shoppers in this segment can check out.
2019 Chrysler Pacifica Release Date and Price
According to rumor mills, the Pacifica base model should cost around $28,995. The Pacifica Touring Plus 4dr Minivan should come with an asking price of around $32K. As for the release date, expect the new model’s release date sometime in the fall of next year.
2019 Chrysler Pacifica Exterior Design
The exterior design is well sculpted and this makes the Pacifica boast of unsurpassed aerodynamic performance. This aerodynamic profile benefits from features such as an optimized relationship between the roof panel and the front glass, aerodynamically tuned windshield wipers, and underbody aero panels.
Up front, we should still expect the Chrysler to offer a contemporary face of the Chrysler brand highlighted by its slim lower grille that should continue featuring the ribbon-like chrome accents, and a Mobius chrome strip. The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica grille seamlessly integrates with the headlamps resulting in a premium appearance and geometric balance.
Just like the fascia upfront, that at the back delivers sculpture and simplicity. The bright chrome horizontal detail and rear reflex help enhance the vehicle’s wide stance appearance. The LED “halo signature” appearance help emphasize the vehicle’s wheelbase and width.
2019 Chrysler Pacifica Colors
Although we don’t expect many changes for the 2019 model year, we do however expect Chrysler to make some subtle changes that may include additional paint colors. Currently, the existing model comes in a whopping ten exterior colors: Bright White Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, Billet Silver Metallic Clear Coat, Silver Teal Pearl Coat, Tusk White Pearl Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat, Dark Cordovan Pearl Coat, Molten Silver Metallic Clear Coat, and Jazz Blue Pearl Coat.
Chrysler Pacifica 2019 Interior
The new 2019 Chrysler Pacifica interior, just like that of the previous models, should continue highlighting the vehicle’s spaciousness. According to recent news, the vehicle mixes its muscular proportions with its mixture of high tech elements to produce a beautifully crafted interior.
The control elements are modern looking and high tech, with their hard surface complemented by soft-touch materials elsewhere. The instrument panel and the unique interior accents all combine to offer a sophisticated, modern color combinations.
Like previous versions, we should expect to see the new Pacifica in multiple trim models. The existing model comes in various models that range from the bare-bones Pacifica LX model to the well-equipped Pacifica Limited model. Also expected to be available for the 2019 model year should be the Hybrid model.
Standard features we should expect to see on the Pacifica LX include an eight-way power driver seat, an automatic climate control, push-button start, heated mirrors, LED daytime running lights, USB and auxiliary lights, Bluetooth connectivity, a five-inch center touchscreen interface, push-button ignition, remote locking and unlocking feature, a six-speaker sound system, an electric parking brake, heated mirrors, USB and auxiliary inputs.
Engine Performance & Specs – 2019 Chrysler Pacifica
Although it is still quite early to talk about the performance of the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica at this time, rumor mills have been active to note that the model’s engine specifications should be expected to return as is currently. Not much criticism should be expected in the case that the Pacifica returns unchanged beneath the hood. Currently, the Pacifica’s engine sends a decent 287 horsepower and 262 lbs. ft. of torque to the wheels via the nine-speed automatic transmission system. The engine in question is the 3.6L V6.
Fuel economy isn’t that glamorous with the existing Pacifica averaging about 22 mpg in combined city/highway cruising. 0-60 mph should get better than the current 7.7 seconds. And when properly equipped, rumors have it that the Pacifica will tow more than 3,600 pounds.
Some of the safety features we should expect include a surround-view camera, ParkSense parallel/perpendicular park assist, forward collision warning plus, LaneSense lane departure warning plus, forward collision warning plus, and adaptive cruise control. Others include an electronic stability control, Parkview rear backup camera, ParkSense rear park assist, and Blind-spot monitoring.
