2019 Porsche Cayenne

2019 Porsche Cayenne review

Believe it or not, 2019 Porsche Cayenne has finally hit the streets. No, you can’t buy it and you can’t drive it (yet), but you can learn a thing or two from the people who actually had the opportunity to test it and the reactions are amazing. I mean, what else have you expected from the 2019 Porsche Cayenne? You can learn about its technology, exterior (finally!), interior and the engine lineup. All of that is now available because we finally get to see this beast without the camouflage.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Release Date

The newest predictions say that you will get to buy the all-new 2019 Porsche Cayenne for yourself (if you are one of those born under a lucky star) during the summer of 2018. A couple of months after the release of those base versions we will get a V-8 powered and plug-in hybrid models.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Price

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne is full of additional equipment so its price can be negotiable, or in other words, if you don’t want all the options the base price for the 2019 Cayenne S starts at $83,000. However, if you add the options that make this car so special it goes well over $100,000.

When talking about the price of this kind of a car, you should always have in mind that you are buying an SUV, so whenever you look at it, you think OFF ROAD and driving strong on the streets. However, if you are buying an off-road vehicle and the vehicle you want to boast with on the streets of your hometown, you will spend even more than $130,000 for all the options Porsche has on its books. You will end up spending all that money, and you won’t even think about driving that kind of money on rocks, forests, over rivers, and through deserts. What’s the point in spending so much money on an SUV of this caliber?

2019 Porsche Cayenne Exterior

The new addition of 2019 Porsche Cayenne exterior is all you can expect from this kind of a car and it is sticking to its roots. There are some cosmetic changes here and there but nothing that significant. The same trapezoidal grille stays but with slightly changed horizontal lines. The “turbo” version is going to stick out from the crowd with green details across the whole front fascia. Dimensions have slightly shifted. The vehicle is actually a little bit wider and lower than on the previous version.

On the top of the vehicle, you can find an adaptive roof spoiler which has a performance purpose. It automatically reacts to the speed and it can serve as a downforce element and an emergency air brake. It can actually save your life because it reduces the braking trail for 2m. That is very significant distance when we talk about life and death situations.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Interior

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne interior is actually a combination between a good old 911 and Panamera. It is a sports car combined with the luxury sedan with premium equipment from both styles.

On the center dashboard, you can see the 12.3″ “Porsche Control Management. That is a central console to control every single function of the car. It is “on pair” with two digital displays left and right from the gauge cluster. That way, a driver can control everything in his car and keep his eye on every function of the vehicle.

That kind of technology is not common for SUVs but the spacious interior is. At the top, you have a two-panel panoramic roof that can be opened in the front but it is fixed at the back.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Performance

There are three models of 2019 Porsche Cayenne.

The first, and the most basic one is the 2019 Porsche Cayenne V6 Turbo with 340 hp. It is followed by the 2019 Porsche Cayenne V6 S with 440 hp and the most prestigious (and most powerful model) is the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo V8 with 550 hp.

Engines are going to be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission mated with All Wheel Drive.

Overall, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne is made for a luxurious driving. It can handle any sort of terrain and it is equipped with all sorts of gadgets to make the off-road ride very comfortable, but its primary use is not meant to be off-road.

There are many SUVs that simply crave to be sports vehicles but none of them was made by the Porsche. As soon as you enter this SUV you immediately forget about any of the SUVs you have had an opportunity to drive (or see). It is simply the same as if you are driving a sports sedan. You simply can’t see the difference between the SUV and a sports sedan.

Conclusion

This is a masterpiece of engineering. However, it is a very expensive masterpiece of engineering meant to be driven on harsh terrains that can hurt that masterpiece. Even with its technology for the off-road driving, you will not be able to stand to see all that money going to waste while you drive it through the tight mountain paths. That being said, you will drive this huge sports vehicle over your favorite roads, you will put to shame any of the sports vehicles you encounter on the roads and you will enjoy that.

It is an SUV in its best and a sports car at its best. It has superb handling, it can make a light off-roading a pleasant experience, but it will hurt your soul and pocket if you try something more extreme. The cabin is very comfortable, there is a lot of space in it for the baggage and for the passengers respectively. However, all the options it has in it that actually make this vehicle that good are pricey as hell and the car itself could be prettier.
