2016 Porsche Panamera  – With the start of the new model year, Porsche releases its new Panamera car. This time it will be released using a weird name, as they have decided to call it Panamera Edition, but it is essentially the continuation of the car that bared the name Panamera before. The vehicle comes out as an updated version and will hit the market next year.

The Porsche Panamera was originally released in 2010, but was not welcomed in a good way by the fans of Porsche vehicles. It took a while for the fans to truly warm to this type of a car and it came after a few design years later. The car is now a renowned vehicle in the Porsche lineup and a welcomed one by any fan and the latest update will certainly dazzle them a bit more, particularly with its base MSRP which provides you with great value for your money.


According to every review out there and certainly according to ours, the Panamera is predicted to be a hot seller for the upcoming year. Great looks and a fashionable new design will attract additional people, while the performance is great as always. The fact that the car will more certainly make it is also provided by only a small increase to the price compared with setup you get with this vehicle.

The Porsche Panamera comes with a few design changes compared with the model from the previous year. They have kept the most of it but have decided to remodel it in a big way with some small additions that actually make a great difference for the car. It receives some high gloss black trim pieces that make a whole lot of difference this time. They add style to the car and make it even more exciting than it really is. The Turbo II trim will come with a standard option of adding 19-inch wheels and also the colored Porsche crest center caps. The lights have been enhanced with xenon technology and use the Porsche Dynamic Lighting System.


As an optional package for the 2016 model year, Porsche added the use of the Porsche Entry & Drive package, which adds body-colored door handles and make it a very interesting design options for some. Overall speaking, at first glance the car looks like every other Porsche which has been released after 2015, but the small details make this Panamera an interesting and distinguishable vehicle. The styling of the inside is a classic Porsche interior. It is similar to other cars and of course to the base Panamera, but has a lot of new things going on for it that makes it entirely new and very appropriate for fans. The changes are subtle but they are there. They make a while lot of difference that affects your mood while driving in a positive way and enables you to relax even more during your trips. It adds an optional two tone color scheme was well, the black-and-Luxor Beige color scheme respectively, with Porsche crests embroidered on the headrests.


There are some other new welcoming features and one of them is a new distinguishing wheel design. It is much more appropriate not just in an aesthetic way but also provides better handling for the driver. The technological upgrade is apparent but becomes even better with the higher trims. For instance the Edition trims is equipped with a standard Porsche Communication Management with a 7-inch touchscreen, a 14-speaker Bose audio system with 585 watts and an updated navigation system. 14-way power seats  are provided as an optional choice for every trim of the 2016 Panamera.


All trims of the 2016 Porsche Panamera come equipped with the same choice of a powertrain. The already standard choice is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine which gives you 310 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission it is a great powertrain that will more than likely get you places. The base version will get a rear-wheel drive, while only the Panamera 4 Edition comes with an all-wheel drive. With base setup, or rather the Sport Chrono Package, it can make 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds. The all-wheel drive makes the 0-60 mph performance higher with 5.5 and the Sport Chrono Package combined. Its top speed is set at 160.9 mph.

Price and release date

The 2016 Porsche Panamera has been scheduled to be released in June. The release date of the other trims will follow suite immediately after the base version. The price of the base offer has been set at $80,000, while the all-wheel-drive option is priced at $84,300. The Panamera may not be as legendary brand as the Carrera, but it is going to be a standout in the Porsche roster this year.
