The newest 2017 Ford Fusion car is supposed to make its debut in the upcoming year. 2017 Ford Fusion exterior news

The updated exterior of the 2017 Ford Fusion is going to feature some evolutionary elements. The shape of the exterior for the car is going to be sleek and is going to combine with a number of other elements to make it look pretty modern and contemporary. One of such features is the new grille which is a reminiscence of the Aston Martin grille which is accented with the LED headlights which are going to be transferred mostly unchanged to the car.


The headlights and the added LED elements are going to be similar to the offered trim levels that get to be offered, but Ford made sure that each car has a standalone distinction to its headlights design. What makes the car different from each other are the small styling in the design which are the most apparent in the Fusion V6 Sport trim. This version will add unique 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and black mesh grille  to the front side which other Fusion vehicles do not have. Other trims with a unique grille type is the Platinum version as well.

Engine specs

The 2017 Ford Fusion is going to be a sporty performance vehicle so it is no wonder that the car is getting an updated engine. The Ford’s EcoBoost twin-turbo  2.7 liter V6 engine is a great engine variant for this vehicle and with an output of 325 horsepower it leads us to believe that this is a great option and that they are taking to Fusion in the right direction. The hybrid electric version of the Fusion is going to utilize the power of a 2.0 liter gasoline engine with electric assist.  Energi’s 7.6 kilowatt-hour compact lithium-ion battery  has a range of 19 miles in full speed and a full range of 500 miles when using the combined efforts of the gasoline and the electric engine.

Interior update

The interior of the 2017 Ford Fusion is going to be kept similar to the one from before. The car is going to continue using the reconfigurable digital dash and is going to combine it with a thick and sporty steering wheel. The new addition is the rotary shift dial which is going to be placed on the console and is going to reduce the cluttering on the dash that way, at least visually speaking. There is also the large Smartphone-style touchscreen which you can use to control the SYNC system. Using the SYNC system you can connect via your Smartphone so you can remote control the start options for the car.

The car also uses the reconfigured console which adds a lot of storage space which you can use to put away your things and devises. Inside the hybrid Fusion models there is a Ford’s EcoGuide which is used for tutoring on how to hypermile.


But the Fusion Platinum is the highest trim and it really shows the plush side of the Fusion car. The instrument panel is accented with antiqued leather while the steering wheel is hand-stitched with Venetian leather. The newest Ford also uses the pedestrian detection system which is the first of its kind used in North America. Besides this there are a number of different fun gadgets used as well. They include the hands-free parallel and perpendicular parking, the Blind Spot Information System and a camera that helps the car maintain lane position.

2017 Ford Fusion price and release date

The newest 2017 Ford Fusion is going to be released next year and will be available for sale then. The car sees its released date set for the first part of 2017. The price of the base version of the Fusion car is  $22,110 base MSRP, the Fusion Hybrid is $25,990 and the plug-in Fusion Energi  is $35,730.
