2017 Infiniti Q70

The vehicle falls well short of the standard set by its rivals. However, the 2017 Infiniti Q70 offers solid crash-test scores, fuel economy ratings at least for the Hybrid model, and numerous high-tech safety features. Its release date should be expected in August this year according online reports.

Despite undergoing several refreshments and even changing its nameplate a while back, the Infiniti Q70 seems to be ageing pretty fast. And while it may seem to be falling from a past glory, the sedan still has something to offer including a long-wheelbase trim that offers popular brands a run for their money with its rock-bottom price.

The Q70L, as the long-wheelbase version is known, adds copious rear legroom amount to about 5.9”. Many people might it an easy alternative to executive, luxury sedans like the BMW 5 Series, but sadly the Q70 misses the mark here as it lacks the basic techs and features to match those of the 5 Series which makes the seatback entertaining and exciting. Basically, the only difference between the Q70 and the other executive sedans in its segment is the space which the Q70 offers unreservedly.

Under the hood, the vehicle comes with a stout engine that cranks out an impressive 330 hp. however, it’s only good on paper as the 3.7L V6 engine doesn’t feel and drive as energetic as a vehicle with such output should.

Luckily, buyers shopping in the segment have quite a bit of alternatives worth looking at. They include the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class which comes with a fuel-sipping diesel engine with better fuel economy ratings and boasts of superior cabin that comes feature-laden with latest features. Others include the crisp, elegant 2017 Audi A6, the 2017 Cadillac CT6, and the well-appointed 2017 BMW 5 Series.
